Everyone, I am so incredibly excited (seriously, I’m bouncing in my chair right now!) to say:
Welcome to the new TMJ Hope!
Let me just tell you…I wake up every morning SO excited to be part of this. It has been my passion for the past 10 years!
Having said that, deciding how to move forward has been a roller coaster ride. I wanted to make sure that no matter what, I could offer the greatest benefit to each of you.
In August I went on an emotional retreat with the goal of starting a new business – one that had nothing to do with TMJ Hope (but would give me the financial stability I needed to keep TMJ Hope alive). After a lot of soul searching, I realized that TMJ Hope is my mission. I knew I absolutely HAD to find a way to keep TMJ Hope not just alive, but thriving—and to keep helping each of you improve your lives.
I have three big announcements. Let’s get started!
Announcement #1: TMJ Hope will become a 501c3 non-profit organization you can support with tax-deductible donations.
Non-profit status gives TMJ Hope tax benefits that allow me to invest more time and money in the organization. Of course (and most importantly), there are tons of benefits for you too, like:
- More responsive and comprehensive support
- Access to more cutting-edge information, research, and interviews with experts and patients
- Awareness campaigns – like the 30 Days of Hope campaign (where we gave away a TMJ-friendly product every day for a month)
Announcement #2:
We have an amazing fundraising raffle starting today that will give each participant a chance to win many jaw-friendly items like pillows, books, heating pads, protein powder…all the items a TMJD patient needs to thrive!
Each $10 raffle ticket will enter you for a chance to win items – and helps support TMJ Hope as we grow. Your donation in the form of a raffle ticket will make this fundraiser a huge success!
Announcement #3:
We have been working on a brand new support community for months that will launch when the fundraising raffle is finished (mid-November).
This support community will replace our old forum. We know that many of you had technical issues accessing the old community, and it wasn’t as active as we would have liked…but the new support community will be amazing, and will become an incredible resource for you.
I understand that change is hard…it has been tough for me too, and I want to make sure you understand exactly why I am making these changes. I want to ensure that TMJ Hope continues to be around for TMJ disorder patients, and that no matter what happens, we are able to support each and every one of you in the best way possible.
