30 Days of Smoothies

Apple Cinnamon Oat Shake
1 cup milk or vanilla soymilk
1/2 cup applesauce
1 pouch plain instant oatmeal
1/2 tablespoon honey
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
Blend until smooth. Let stand 5 minutes. Add 1/2 cup ice cubes, blend again

Apple Coconut Ginger
1/4 c Apple juice
1 Tbsp coconut milk
1/2 Banana
1/4 tsp Ginger root — fresh, peeled -grated
1/2 c Crushed ice
Blend all until smooth

Banana Coffee Smoothie
2 small bananas, peeled, cut up, and frozen
1 1/2 cups skim milk
1 8-oz. container low-fat coffee yogurt
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
Dash ground nutmeg
In a blender container combine frozen bananas, milk, yogurt,
cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cover and blend till smooth.

Banana Key Lime
1 banana
1 cup limeade
1 cup key lime yogurt
1/2 cup of banana yogurt
2 cups of ice
Blend and serve immediately

Berry Healthy
2 cups mixed berries, (fresh or frozen)
1 cup silken tofu
1/4 cup pomegranate juice
2 to 3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
1 teaspoon finely grated peeled ginger
In a blender, combine berries, tofu, pomegranate juice, 2 tablespoons honey,
flaxseed, and ginger. Blend until smooth, 15 to 20 seconds. Adjust the
sweetness if neccessary. (strain if wired shut)

Best Breakfast Smoothie
1 cup pomegranate juice
1 1/2 cups vanilla yogurt
1/2 package soft silken tofu
1 1/2 cups frozen berries
1 1/2 cups raw spinach
Place ingredients in order of appearance in a blender.
Blend on high for 1 minute.

Carrot Mango Treat
1/2 cup carrot juice
1/4 cup frozen mango chunks
1/4 cup ice cubes
Combine ingredients in a blender. Blend on medium speed until smooth,
about 30 seconds. Pour into a tall glass (or travel mug) and enjoy
immediately.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana
1 banana
2 Tbs. Peanut Butter (chunky or smooth… whatever you prefer!)
1-2 squirts of Hershey’s chocolate syrup
1 Tbs. wheatgerm
6 oz. soy milk
Put all ingredients into blender.
Blend until smoothie consistency is reached!

Cinna-Pear
2 pears, quartered and cores removed
1 banana, cut in chunks
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 pinch ground nutmeg
Place the pears, banana, milk, yogurt, cinnamon, and nutmeg into a blender.
Cover, and puree until smooth.

Fruitopia
1 cup passion fruit nectar
1 cup guava nectar
1 cup orange sherbet
4 Tbs. coconut milk
1/2 frozen banana in chunks
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup frozen sliced peaches
1 cup strawberry yogurt
Pour all liquid ingredients into the blender.
Add all frozen ingredients. Blend at MIX setting for 30 seconds then blend
at SMOOTH setting until smooth.

Fuzzy Banana
2 medium bananas quartered
1 pint orange sorbet or 2 cups orange sherbet, slightly softened
1 cup Mandarin Tangerine juice
Combine bananas, sorbet and juice in blender container.
Blend until thick and smooth.

Holiday Mint
2 cups of frozen vanilla yogurt (you can use it unfrozen but it will be too
runny)
2 cups of 1% milk
2 tbs crushed peppermint candy (or peppermint bark for some chocolate
flavor)
1 1/2 cups of ice
Add to a blender. You may need to blend a little longer to get the peppermint
candy pulverized (strain if you are wired shut)

Honey Orange
2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice (about 6 oranges)
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon raw honey
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 teaspoons finely grated fresh ginger
2 ripe bananas
In a blender, puree all ingredients until smooth. Serve immediately.

Horchata Smoothie
2 cups milk
2 cups water
1 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Blend until combined.  Drink chilled.

Key Lime
4 scoop(s) vanilla ice cream
1 cup(s) milk
1/2 cup(s) frozen limeade concentrate
1 teaspoon(s) freshly grated lime peel
In blender, combine ice cream, milk, limeade concentrate, and lime peel and
blend until smooth.

Kiwi Strawberry
3 peeled kiwi
1 cup frozen banana slices
3/4 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
Put all ingredients into blender, and blend until smooth.

Lemony Apple Honey
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup apple cider
1 apple (about 8 oz.), peeled, cored, and chopped
1 peeled banana
2 to 3 tablespoons honey
1 cup nonfat or vanilla frozen yogurt
Combine in blender till smooth

Mocha Latte Smoothie
3/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons instant mocha flavored coffee
1 tablespoon instant coffee
2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
1 cup ice
Place all ingredients in blender and blend on high until smooth.

Orange-Pine-Banana
 1 sweet orange peeled and sliced
1/2 cup sliced fresh pineapple
1/2 a banana
1/2 cup of orange-pineapple juice or banana-orange-pineapple juice
1/2 cup of ice
Blend the banana with the ice and juice till slushy. Add the oranges and
pineapples slices and blend on high for around 1 minute until pineapples
are finely blended. (strain if wired shut).

Peaches N Cream
1 1/4 cups milk
1/4 cup vanilla yogurt
1 banana, broken into chunks
1 packet peaches and cream flavor instant oatmeal
2 packets sweetener (such as Splenda®) (optional)
5 ice cubes
Place the milk, yogurt, banana, instant oatmeal, sweetener, and ice cubes
into a blender.  Cover and puree until smooth.

Peachy Berry
1 cup nonfat peach yogurt
3/4 cup peach nectar
1/2 cup raspberries
1 1/2 cup ripe medium peaches, diced
Combine the yogurt and nectar in a blender.
Add raspberries and peaches, blend until smooth.

Peachy Cooler
1 c Chilled peach nectar
1/2 c Milk
1 Container (6 ounces) peach yogurt
Ground nutmeg
Place nectar, milk and yogurt in blender. Cover and blend on high speed
about 30 seconds or until smooth. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

Peanut Butter Banana
1 banana, frozen, cut in chunks
2 Tbsp. reduced fat creamy peanut butter
1 cup skim milk
1/2 cup frozen vanilla yogurt or fat free ice cream
Mix in blender till smooth.

Pina Colada
5 Tbs. Coconut milk
2 1/2 cups pineapple juice
1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
1/2 frozen banana (chunks)
1 1/2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
Pour all liquid ingredients into the blender. Add all frozen ingredients.
Blend at MIX setting for 30 seconds then blend at SMOOTH setting until
smooth.

Pumpkin Cheesecake Smoothie
2 pkgs (3 ounce each) cream cheese, softened
1 can (15 ounces) solid pack pumpkin, chilled
1 cup vanilla yogurt
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/2 cups vanilla ice cream
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 1/2 cups milk
6 ice cubes
Whipped cream
In blender combine cream cheese, pumpkin, yogurt, brown sugar, ice cream,
milk, spice and ice cubes.  Blend on high until smooth.  Pour into chilled
glasses.  Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with additional pumpkin pie
spice.

Pumpkin Treat
1 cup of canned pumpkin
1 cup fresh cut apricot or frozen.
1 tbs sugar
1 cup 2% milk
1 pinch of cinnamon
1 pinch of nutmeg
1 cup of ice
Blend until creamy. Depending on your sweet tooth you may wish to add
another tablespoon of sugar.

Strawberry Banana Delight
1 package (10 ounces) frozen, unsweetened strawberries, thawed
1 cup plain soy milk
1 small ripe banana, peeled and sliced
1/4 cup honey
1 package (12 ounces) silken tofu, soft, drained
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Pinch of salt
In a blender, puree berries until smooth. Remove, and rinse blender.
Combine the remaining ingredients in the blender.
Puree until smooth and thoroughly mixed, scraping down sides with rubber
spatula as necessary. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator. If
refrigerating, whisk to recombine just before serving.

Gold Medal Smoothie

1 banana, peeled
1/2 cup diced cantaloupe
1/4 cup chopped carrots
1/4 cup orange segments
1 tablespoon honey or other sweetener (to taste)
1/4 lemon, peeled & seeded
1/2 cup pineapple chunks
1/2 cup water
1 cup ice
1 scoop protein powder (optional)

Place all ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth.

Green Smoothie

1 cup (160 g) green grapes
1/2 cup (78 g) pineapple
2 cups (60 g) fresh spinach
1/2 ripe banana, peeled
1/2 cup (120 ml) water
1 cup (240 ml) ice cubes
Place all ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth (don’t worry, you can’t taste the spinach!).

Lemon Raspberry Smoothie


10 ice cubes
1 1/2 cups vanilla yogurt (or use Greek yogurt for a higher protein level and add some vanilla extract)
1 lemon – peeled, quartered, & seeded
1 cup raspberries
3 tablespoons honey (or whatever sweetener you prefer)

Combine all ingredients in your blender, and blend until you like the consistency.
